Tyvek® Firecurb® Gains BBA Confirmation Of It's Power To Protect

DuPont™ Tyvek® FireCurb® has been awarded an Agrément Certificate by the BBA 

DuPont Building Innovations is pleased to announce that its innovative membrane DuPont™ Tyvek® FireCurb® has been awarded an Agrément Certificate by the BBA as “a fire-rated, high-density polyethylene breather membrane for use in timber-frame wall construction.”

The certification includes compliance with Building Regulations where applicable, independently verified technical specification, design considerations, installation guidance and regular surveillance of production. The key factors assessed for this product – which has been very well received by the industry from architects, contractors and developers to fire safety consultants – include: weather-tightness, risk of condensation, strength, properties in relation to fire (the product has an enhanced performance in relation to Reaction to Fire Classification) and durability.
